Toyam Foundation

Toyam in Sanskrit means “Water”.

 Toyam Foundation is registered in 2014 under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950.
Toyam foundation is registered under section 12AA, 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act,1961 and registered as approved Foundation to  drive CSR under the companies act.

 

Toyam Foundation is a social enterprise that collaborates with companies, NGOs, Government, and Donor agencies to develop impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and philanthropy activities along with driving Education, Awareness, and Community Development.

Our focus areas include CSR strategy, program design, and implementation along with consulting research for impact management. Our Corporate Social Responsibility and philanthropy (CSR) consulting practice has worked with leading companies across India to shape their social good strategies, facilitate program implementation, and assess the on-the-ground impact of such initiatives.

Our impact assessment results show that
Reported benefits of Toyam consumers: ( based on survey done with more than 500 families, DMI)
  • Incidence of Water borne diseases has declined amongst Toyam users from 25% to 35% over a period of three years
  • 65% Toyam consumers reported a reduction in medical expenses, resulting in a savings of Rs. 550 per 6 months on household medical expenditure due to reduction in water-borne disease.
  • 54% reduction in doctor visits
  • 40% Toyam consumers reported reduction in adults missing work due water borne illness sick days
  • 60% Toyam consumers reported a reduction in school absenteeism of children
Drudgery reduction
  • 92% of men collect water from Toyam stations in their bicycles or motorcycles thus reducing the drudgery and burden on women for fetching water
Livelihood generated
  • Rural Entrepreneurs earns income of over Rs 4lakhs to 7 lakhs per annum  per plant.
