1.Health, Water, and Sanitation

Toyam drives activity in the village to educate and make aware people of sanitation and uses of clean drinking water. This activity is being done with the support of rural women or unemployed youth in the village. The Anganwadi ladies also participate in the program and do door-to-door campaigns about Swachh Bharat and safe drinking water and aware people about the cooking and health benefit of using purified water and help them to save their money on health-related issues which are targeted the SDG no 1.

2.Women And Rural Unemployed Skill Development

The foundation involves the village’s poor women and rural unemployed youth to train them to operate the plant in the village. This enables them to earn their daily bread and bring dignity to the poor family. This also reduces the chance of rural migration. The rural youth upon successful training at times employed with large companies for servicing water treatment plants. Our main focus is to provide job responsibility to women by taking the help with local availability of SHGs and village organizations. Women are the priority because they are the more vulnerable in our society and this initiative helps us to target SDG 5.

3.Safe Water and Sanitation for Children

 In India due to unsafe water and sanitation. Toyam foundation has been working with school children to make them aware of safe and clean drinking water and effective use of sanitation process. The school children are being told about the purified water and the benefit of using toilets in rural India.

4. Clean Energy and Climate Change

Toyam Foundation is working with companies to implement rural clean energy programs and plant many trees for a green environment. Toyam uses the solar system to operate the water hubs and ATMs which help us accelerate sustainable solutions for the water delivery while at the same time reducing CO2 emissions that’s how we promote Green energy that helps us to connect with SDG 7.

5. Entrepreneurship Development

Toyam foundation ensures the Members in the community are taught how to run and manage safe water enterprises. Safe water committees in communities provide oversight, hold stakeholders responsible, and improve reliability, equity, and responsiveness to local needs.
Toyam Foundation is keen to develop and train rural women and unemployed youth to start up program to generate income. This will help them to generate an alternate source of income. One of the Program has been to identify a village distribution team to deliver water at house thereby earning over Rs 20,000 per month.
